Dr. Lian-Sheng Zhang, PhD 张莲生 博士

Dr. Lian-Sheng Zhang is a retired professor and holds a PhD in Linguistics from U.C.Berkeley.  She taught at U.C. Berkeley, Stanford University, San Jose State University, and at College of San Mateo.  Dr. Zhang is also the author of a tri-lingual dictionary (Chinese, Tibetan, and English).  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Jennie Louie 雷老师 (TrustLine & CPR certified.)

I speak, read, and write Chinese fluently, as I spent my childhood and youth in China. I was born in Shanghai & went to school in Beijing.  Dr. Zhang is my mother.  Our family moved to Los Altos Hills, CA in the 1980's. I used to go with my mom (Dr. Zhang) to her Chinese classes and help out before she retired from teaching. 

 

I'm a Dublin resident.  And a mother of two wonderful children.  My son is eleven(a 6th grader), and my daughter is nine(a 4th grader).

I truly enjoy teaching Chinese at our schools.  I look forward to seeing my students every week. And take pride in seeing them learning and improving in my class! 
 

Our students are using various learning materials from several different top rated books.  As well as our own teaching material that Dr. Zhang and I created together for our students to use during our Chinese/Mandarin class. Our students will learn something new every session.
