Zoom Etiquette For Students
To ensure a successful zoom classroom, & engage in a productive learning environment, please follow these “do’s and don’ts” rules for our Zoom class.
Do’s
-
Find a quiet space and dress appropriately.

Let all household members know when and where you will be in class, and ask them not to disturb you.

Mute until you are required to talk. ie: raise your hand.

Be on time to class. Communicate with your instructor via email/text prior if you’ll be absent.

Pay attention! Maintain eye contact with the speaker on the screen.

Be prepared to take notes in a designated notebook or paper.
Don’ts

Share the zoom access information for your class with others.

Take screenshots, cell phone pictures, or otherwise record the meeting, your classmates, or your instructor.

Change your name or change your zoom background during class.

Walk around during the class meeting.

Use the chat for side conversations with classmates.

Sit in front of a window or bright light, this will make your face too dark to see.

Have conversations with household members off camera.
-
Allow household members to walk around behind or next to you during the class meeting.

Engage in texting, social media, work from other classes, or other distractions while in class.

In Person Class Policy:
*Students will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. If a session is full, students will be notified and placed on a wait list.
*All students must register and submit payment before class due to insurance reasons. You're welcome to enroll your child after a session has already started ONLY if there's still spots availiable. The tuition will be prorated.
*No class on non school days.
*Please let us know by texting us @ (650) 224-8210 if you'll be late in picking up your child. That way we could let your child know that you're on your way.
*Homework is strongly encouraged. Please encourage your child to practice what we've learned in class at home, 10 to 20 minutes per day if possible.
*Please remind your child to bring his/her Chinese class binder to class, as we'll be adding new learning material every week.
*Please pack a small snack/drink for transition time on the day of our after school program. (Please NO NUTS due to food allergy.)
